coffee in
the sunrise
strange cigarettes
stranger women
the world
and I
are different
this morning
the rush
of freedom
is almost
too much

the astronaut
ate acid
to make
him feel
at home
the trip
turned bad
when he
opened the
door to
try and
find god

the sadness
was stronger
than whiskey
longer than
a drive
through kansas
at night
everyone had
an answer
but he
could not
even grasp
the question

the soft light
over our bodies
we have returned
to this moment
there is something
we cannot name
that controls us
a mix of
god and desire
sinners find heaven
just as easily

he ate her
to save her
from the world
he had known
it was beautiful
in a way
and left doubt
with theories of
good and evil
we each have
but one reality
and truth resides
in every version

the sorrow
is felt
long after
the wound
I fell
from the
divine womb
and ran
straight for
some pussy
when I
was jung
I wanted
my mother
and now
it’s not
so easy

I’m in
a box
inside of
a box
and that
continues infinitely
they all
have labels
that society
has given
and I
leave behind
a part
of myself
with each
that’s created
to get
them back
I must
give up
living life
like others
